In my family, many of our members tend to adulate my grandfather. When he lived, he was well respected and well-known for the deeds he did. My grandfather was one of those men whom you don’t tend mess with and/or provoke. Throughout his life he encountered many things, had many adventures to tell his children and to the grandchildren he lived to see. Although I never got to meet him, I was still able to capture/hear stories of the experiences he encountered. When I first heard of some of the stories of the life of my grandpa, I was amazed by the ways he was able to escape from the tight holes he got himself into and the unwanted occurrences.
To find a beginning to my grandfather’s “adventures” is a bit difficult to find. But I will begin, by telling you of how he grew up and the conditions he grew up in, just to give you a head start on how things ended up a certain way. My grandfather was born in 1935 in Mexico. As a child, his family was very wealthy. But as he began to grow older, certain family members became bias. Due to the fact that my grandfather got married. His relatives no longer thought it was a good idea for him to raise his family along with them. So then one day, when my grandpa was out with some friends, some of his relatives kicked my grandma out of the house with only her toddler, a soon to be born baby and some clothing. My grandpa always went to hang out at the same place, so my grandmother knew where to find him. As he came upon him and told him what had occurred, my grandfather was furious. He was on the verge of seeking revenge on his relatives for what they had done, but my grandmother thought it was wiser for them to simply prove to them that they didn’t need their money or support to survive.
From then on, my grandparents had to move to another village/town, without any money to buy food or anything that’ll help them survive or raise their children. Eventually, they found a home in which they could own and live in. It was a small place, but what they had was better than having nothing at all. My grandparents had their own store, but my grandpa was an alcoholic, so it was pretty had to see any of their earnings. My grandfather wasn’t always an alcoholic. When his first born son, whom was a private detective, was assassinated, is when the addiction began. He was so traumatized/marked with the happening, that he began to drink and drink , to try and console his broken heart.
My grandfather was very talented in everything he did. If he wasn’t it good at it at first, he worked his buttocks off, until he reached perfection of whatever he attempted. At this point in his life, he was a fishermen. He used to fish with his fishing buddies in the ocean. But this time he went fishing on his own, and in broad daylight, he saw a mermaid.
Far on a distant rock, near a cave, was the subtle mermaid. The eerie noise coming from the distance gave my grandfather chills down his back. But as he came closer, the eerie noise became a beautiful symphony that attracted him, like in the movies. He soon began to feel tumultuous with the song and was on the verge of drowning/dying, when he remembered his family. His love for his wife and family was so much greater than the temptation, that he even asked the mermaid if he could leave him alone. My grandfather said, “I have a lovely wife and children that are waiting for me to return home with dinner for them to eat. Please, just leave me alone and let me return safely to them…” Surprisingly, the mermaid angrily let him alone, but very furious. And only then, when the song broke, is when my grandpa was able to truly see what a mermaid looked like and how horrifying they looked without their song.
After the encounterment with the mermaid, my grandpa also encountered various things that may seem fictional, but really occurred. After being an alcoholic for almost 10 years, my grandfather converted to Christians. When he converted, his family and friends were very biased on his decision. But even though the times seemed to worsen, he became well-founded in what he believed was correct. As he became older of age, he began to get really sick. My grandfather knew it was his time to depart from life itself, and yet he was very brave. Then came the day in 1991, where he departed from his family and all of his loved ones. But even though he was no longer found amongst us, the memory of his triumphs and adventures gave us enough reasons as to why adulate him, even for those whom never got the chance to meet him.

PLANS AFTER RMMS {jocelyn}

After I leave Richard Merkin Middle School, I am planning to go to high school. I’m not quite sure yet which high school though, Gertz Ressler or Culver City. But before I head on to a new school, I am going to be taking part of this business program, ABL ( Academy of Business Leadership). This program teaches students from 7-12 grade, how to form a business plan and the stock market. Many of you may say , “Oh how boring!”, or “What a waste of time!”, but in reality it’s not. It is actually a head start to the rest of your life, after you’ve finished with school of course. In the summer, I’m also going to go camping or go and visit my family in Mexico for a while. I am also excited for the summer, because I will also be celebrating a special occasion, that of which many already know of and/or are surprised to know of. After I’ve gone through the program and everything else, I’m not quite sure of what I’ll do next. I might get a job or something, to maintain myself busy, or just simply relax, until I begin school again. But one thing’s for sure, after RMMS, I’m going to have a blast!:)

what happened in politics was that Hillary Clinton put almost all the delegate in the line. she was talking about some of her delegate because most of her delegates gone to vote for Mc Cain and the rest will go for obama.

if u knew me, u would say that I'm a bit weird and/or random. but for those that do not know me, it's a bit difficult to describe myself, without leaving anything out. i have various personalities, that vary from the enviorments i'm found in. for example, in class i can be very attentive and serious, at times. but out of class, i can be the most friendliest person, if you don't get on my nerves. i can also be unpredictable and hyper.
they're so awesome!!!!
i love chocolate, spider-man, purple, and i love to sing; especially "kiddy" songs. some people think i'm awkward and weird, but that's just who i am. and if someone would like to change me, well good luck with that.......:)

American society is obsessed with image

American society is obsessed with image
It is no secret that many Americans - particularly women - struggle
with body image issues. It's also no wonder, given that we are
inundated daily with media images of mythical creatures who bear some
resemblance to actual human beings but appear to have few, if any
physical flaws. With so much deception and hype over the superficial,
it is easy to become obsessed with body image and begin to frequently
verbalize one's frustrations. Unfortunately, this can happen to the
detriment of meaningful friendships and important associations.
Not many people enjoy hearing someone complain constantly about their
appearance and how they wish it were different - except in those cases
where misery loves company. And after a while, these complaints can
alienate perfectly wonderful people. So how does one spot the signs
that they are pushing people away? If you are worried that you could
be overdoing it and are on the verge of losing some valuable
relationships, here are a few signs that you might be right:

This is a possible sign that they have grown weary of dining with you.
This may especially be the case if all you do is talk fat calories
before, during and after meals. You may not be fully aware of just how
much you talk about this, but it can easily happen. People who are
obsessed with their weight can ruin a perfectly good dinner date by
complaining about how fattening the appetizers are, how they
absolutely must pass on the bread and how they can hardly consume more
than a leaf of lettuce without gaining 5 pounds. While it's okay to be
conscientious about what one eats, constantly discussing this at every
opportunity can be a real turn-off for people who just want to relax,
relate and unwind.
Connection to Cyrano

The connection between American and Cyrano is that they both have to
do with image. They think more with image because there is this one
men who think he is all that and he finds Cyrano and start to make fun
of him and telling him how he look. That also happen here American
when the people are going to get down first they start talking about
each other then next thing you know they are on the floor. Also in
Cyrano when Cyrano and Christian go to war and because they are so
hungry Roxanne come out of no where with food so when she goes with
Cyrano he ask her how did she pass with all of this food she said
"because of my looks" as you see image is imported for some thing.

family and values

Family and Values

Now a days, families are not typically what they used to be; mom, dad, sister, brother, and pet. Now, some families have a variation in the certain people that make them a family. Certain families only have a mom, some only have grandparents and some, don’t even have any children. A family can be composed of how many members desired and with who ever you live with or whom is closest to you. But a family is a family no matter how big or small and no matter who it involves.
Aside from having different family sizes, we also all vary in our individual family values. We don’t all think the same way about certain things and it is why your family values may differ from other families. For example, some families value wealth. But other families value dignity and respect. For the ones that value dignity and respect, it’s quite difficult to gain respect, because in order to receive it, one must give it not only to elders but also to the ones around them. Also, for a family like that, it would be very humiliating and respect-loosing, to have their daughter, or any other female in the family to get pregnant. Other families value loyalty. With this being said, these families stick together no matter the circumstances and may consider it betraying, when you take another side that is not your own (meaning your own family). A couple of families also tend to take religion very seriously, while some don’t even believe in GOD and are very secular.
Due to the various points of views of different people, every family has their own values, some of which others may have in common and some of which some disagree with. With this being said, not only do people think differently, but they also vary in size, and in who or what makes up their family. So because of the differential components that make the/a family, it is imperative that we consider these differences and have consideration that not everyone thinks the same way about certain concepts. It is also imperative that we acknowledge these differences and maintain at a stable position with our beliefs, etc so that you keep your family proud.

current event

China’s 7.5 Earthquare



This article is about a earthquke that has happened in china. Many people had died from the quake and many were trapped in the rubble of the buildings and power plantes that was in china. The most that died was in a power plant many suffered of 80 tons of ammonia leaked out. It also takks about how this didnt effect the Three Georges Dam this dam was important

We chosed this current event becauses many had to suffer by seeing there love ones all underneath the rubble. Lots of people were lost in the earthquale that haved happened. Most people werent found when the earthquake had passed

What we think this event is giving us a warning of what could happen in Los Angeles or any where. This earthquake is telling uss that we need to be prepared for many things like ruff earthquwke like the one in china.

Hi my name is Hector. I love rock music. One of my most favorite bands are slipknot. My favorite song or songs from them are "before i forget" and "wait and bleed". My most favorite animal are snakes. I like to skate sometimes. I usually dont do anything than playing video games. I like to play video games. Camping is my most favorite thing to do. The reason why I like camping is mainly swimming ,fishing and the camp fire. I like to use the computer for hours or i would go to my cousines house and use his ps3. I go to his house everyday and play for hours.

Some people think that I’m retarded but I’m not, sometimes I’m cool with my friends. In some of my classes I’m quit because I’m bored and don’t have nothing to do but work. I also like to hear all kind of rock music. I also attend to Richard Merkin Middle School and there I have some cool teachers and also have cool friends. Im 14 years old and be 15 in December. I have attended to Richard Merkin middle school for 1 an half years. I have been playing my guitar for 1 years and I also skate with my friends from the block were i live. the type of songs that i like is metal like metalocalypse and slayer. Raining blood and awaken are the songs that i like
